About Jeff Burnside
Welcome. Thanks for wanting to know a little more about me and my work

I'm a veteran journalist and fundraiser. I live in the Seattle area in Washington state, the Pacific Northwest corner of the US. My work is done throughout the region and in places around the world.

JOURNALISM
My most recent work appears on the cover of the Sunday Magazine in the Seattle Times. And my book came out in 2022 about an eccentric and inspiring pioneer in "Cashup Davis: The Inspiring Life of a Secret Mentor." Other books are in the works.

FUNDRAISING
I have been using my leadership and communication skills to raise more than $6 million for nonprofits, including my proud work for the Sigma Chi Fraternity in support of a new chapter house at Washington State University and for the Sigma Chi Foundation in support of scholarships, leadership training programs and much more. In a previous role as president of the Society of Environmental Journalists, I also assisted executive staff in fundraising and presided over a $1M annual budget.

DOCUMENTARIES
I've produced and executive produced nearly a dozen television specials, and am now producing a documentary about Cashup Davis (above) and "First Contact, Lost Treasure."

NARRATION
I offer high quality narration services for many kinds of needs. I've narrated hundreds of stories and projects, most recently the global Fish Feed Challenge for the Anthropocene Institute. I offer a very wide range of narration styles and feelings to match your project precisely. I offer fast turnaround whenever needed and can even deliver different styles so you have more than one option.
